Official Download Chart Show @ Cargo 11th July 2006

Last night was the first Official Download Chart Show and after party on the 11th of July @ Cargo in Central London.  The Official Download Chart Television Show, the first of its kind organised and filmed for television and was born out of the emergence of acts from the download music sector like the Arctic Monkeys, Gnarls Barkley, who have become household names after selling thousands of singles online. The download music industry is at its peak. The brilliant new weekly show will feature a mixture of live acts, videos, interviews with pop stars, and the charts.

Akala got the crowd bouncing, the rock band Jynx put on a great show and Tali performed her new track with Dynamite MC. Big Brovaz also switched it up by singing Hangin' Around mixed down with Snoop's Drop It Like It's Hot and Busta Rhymes' Fire It Up.

The highlight of the evening was the energetic performance from Rishi Rich alongside Juggy D and Jay Sean, with a feature from JD of So Solid Crew. The big tune of the night was their reggaeton-flavoured single Push It Up (Aaja Kurieh) with Jay Sean getting the crowd hyped up and singing along. There is no doubt when the album is released on Monday that it will do well, especially with all the help from the 360-X teamers!
